WordPress Two Factor Authentication (2FA) setup using allinonesecurity

We use Allinonesecurity to manage your sites TFA / 2FA.

These are used by many OTP applications that you can deploy on your phone etc.

In order to activate your 2FA system you need to do a number of things:

Install 2FA tool on external device

1. Install ‘Authy‘ application on phone or PC.
   1. IOS
   2. Android
2. Open Authy application and click “Add account” also add your phone number so it can validate the phone and create your  account/password.

Visit the website and activate 2FA

1. Select “Users” from the menu
2. Select YOUR account and click edit
3. Scroll down to near the bottom and click the link Go here for your two factor authentication settings…
4. Once you are in the correct area then:
   1. Enable 2FA and save
   2. Scan the QR code or….
   3. Enter Code Manually
5. Enter name, ignore logo – SAVE
6. You will now see a one time password on your device that will continually change
7. This you enter into the wordpress login page every time you login to the website

Finally – go back to users and check your 2FA button is ticked

You should now be good to go.
