How to use Duplicator Plugin

Now that the plugin is installed, you can use it to create a compressed file containing your entire Web site and database contents:

1. Choose Duplicator from the menu on the left.
2. Click the button to create a new “package”. This process can take a long time depending on the size of the site. The screen will update once the progress is complete.
3. Download the “Installer” and “Package” files that were created to your computer.

This completes the steps you need to take at the old company. The rest of the steps are done at our company.

1. Load the “installer.php” URL in your Web browser. If you’re putting WordPress at the top level of your site, this will be http://www.example.com/installer.php.
2. Enter the information for the MySQL database created earlier:
   • Host: localhost
   • User: wpexample
   • Password: your database password
   • Database Name: wpexample
3. Leave all default options checked.
4. Click Run Deployment. Again, this process can take a while for a large site.
5. Make sure all URL settings are correct for your Web site. The script should detect the correct settings automatically.
6. Click Run Update.
7. Follow the final steps listed on the page.
